The god of cricket i.e. Sachin Tendulkar is going to be creates another world record on 3 August 2010 at Sri Lanka. It will be the 169 test match to him and he will become the highest test playing cricketer in the world. The previous record was with Steeve Waugh.

In a good match, Chennai Super Kings defeated the Mumbai Indians and became the winner of IPL 3. It was the first time in the IPL when any Indian captain lifted the trophy. MS Dhoni did this job. Raina was the hero of the final match who smashed a great knock and took 1 wicket. He also contributed in the fielding that made him Man of the Match. Man of the series award gone to Sachin. He also won the orange cap for being the highest run getter in this tournament. Fair play award gone to MS Dhoni while purple cap to Ojha.

In the 25th match of IPL season 3, MI defeated DC by 41 runs. It was the 5th win of MI. Harbhajan Singh was the hero of the match. He made an aggressive 49 runs in 18 balls and also claimed 3 important wickets. He took his first wicket in very first over of the inning. Sachin Tendulkar is in the good form and he contributed 55 runs. It was the third consecutive half century from Sachin’s bat.

In the presentation ceremony of CSK and MI match, the captain of CSK team Dhoni stated about Tendulkar.

“Sachin knew which fielder had weak shoulder, whom to run, which bowler to take … it was amazing to learn for all the youngsters.”

Sachin Tendulkar is a true synonym of cricket. If you watched today’s match, then you can say that really yes Sachin is Sachin and no body is near about him. Today he played a brilliant innings of 72 runs that helped Mumbai Indians to chase the score of 181. He smashed 72 in just 52 balls with 8 fours and 1 sixes. He scored a successful partnership of 92 runs for first wicket with Shikhar Dhawan. Dhawan also contributed with 56 runs that came in only 34 balls. 

At first Chennai Super Kings scored a good score of 180 runs. Raina scored 83 runs in 52 balls while Badri contributed with 55 runs but Sachin and Dhawan innings was better as compared to their innings. Now MI is on the top of IPL table. 

Sachin Tendulkar was declared as the man of the match and it is his 3^rd MOM in this tournament.

With the help of Sachin’s not out innings, Mumbai Indians defeated Kolkata Knight Riders played at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and electeded to bat first. Gayle has been returned in the KKR camp and he smashed 75 runs. It was the first match of Chris Gayle in the IPL season 3. With the help of Gayle innings, KKR set a target of 156 runs to win. 

Sachin and Dhawan gave a brilliant start to Mumbai Indians. Sachin played a great innings of not out 71 runs. Dhawan and Tiwary contributed 23 and 30 respectively. Ishant Sharma took 2 wickets from KKR. Here is the brief score card of this 17^th match of IPL. With this win, MI reached at the top of IPL point table.
