It will be one of the best matches in the IPL history when one team scored a total of 203 and another team chased it and won by 8 wickets. After scoring a score of 203, Kings XI Punjab was almost sure that they will win the match. But blazing Kallis and burning Uthappa made this score very easy to chase. Uthappa made 51 runs with the help of 4 fours and 4 sixes while Jacques Kallis smashed an unbeaten 89 in 55 balls with 5 sixes and 8 fours. With their innings, Bangalore Royal Challengers has been opened their account in the IPL 3. 

From the Kings XI Punjab innings, Bopara and Bisla scored half centuries. They scored 77 and 75 respectively. They added 129 runs for the first wicket partnership. Jacques Kallis was declared as man of the match.
