It was one of the interesting matches from the IPL 3. the match gone for a tie when both teams scored 136 and the result came with the help of super over.

At first, Chennai Super Kings won the toss and elected to field first. They got the early wicket of Bopara when the team score was 18. Yuvraj Singh was the highest scorer from the Kings side and he made 43 runs.

For chasing the total of 137, Chennai Super Kings got a massive start. Patel and Hayden added 65 runs for the first wicket partnership and after falling Hayden, Chennai lost their momentum and lost wickets.

In the super over, Chennai took the strike first. Chennai set Murali to bowl while Hayden, Morkel and Raina to bat. From Kings side Theron who is debut in IPL in this match bowled.
