It was the last day to Lalit Modi as IPL commissioner and he is suspended from this post. Now Chirayu Amin is the name coming to IPL interim chairman. Chirayu Amin is an industrialist. He is also the head of the Baroda Cricket Association.

In a good match, Chennai Super Kings defeated the Mumbai Indians and became the winner of IPL 3. It was the first time in the IPL when any Indian captain lifted the trophy. MS Dhoni did this job. Raina was the hero of the final match who smashed a great knock and took 1 wicket. He also contributed in the fielding that made him Man of the Match. Man of the series award gone to Sachin. He also won the orange cap for being the highest run getter in this tournament. Fair play award gone to MS Dhoni while purple cap to Ojha.

He smashed 33 runs in just 13 balls and took 3 wickets in his 4 over spell. Tiwary and Rayudu also played a great innings that helped Mumbai Indians to won by 35 runs. Tiwary made 52 runs while Rayudu contributed with 40 runs.
